Survey Camp 9th March 2008 - 13th March 2008

All part 2 of Building Department have to join a camp for 5 days, Survey Camp, at Teluk Senangin about an hour from our campus near the seashore. On 9th March, it was our class turned, as a 1st team. Our class members devided into 6 groups. And i was in group 6 with my great teammates, Panjang, Syaheed, Farhana, Yusmahaliza and Syarifah.

The objective of this camp is to propose a building site at a suitable land. Its not as easy as you read the objective.

3 lecturers follow as our guidance and our judges at the end of the day. Our survey lecturer, Mr Najib, and two others lecturers who not teach us survey part 2, Prof Mat Salam and Mr Ikhwan.

Our lecturer, Mr Najib use voting to give a land area for us. The lucky one got nearer from khemah, and the very unlucky hand got very far far away from the khemah. Want to know which group is super unlucky??? Thats my group! Urgh. The land area gave to us very like "padang jarak padang terkukur" because there was no enough trees for us to berteduh. Not only us, but others also the same.

After everybody got their own land area, we started our 1st procedure, "tanam 4 piket" as a traverse control.

What is "piket"?
Piket is a rounded stick 10cm long.

How to tanam the piket?
We use hammer and knock down all four pikets far 28m x 28m formed a square.

Yeah, its verrryy easy.

After that, we sprayed all four piket with red color spray- for us easy to find the piket next day. And why red? because, Mr Najib brought only red colour spray for us. Then, no choice lah.

And then, we started traverse survey - 1st day.

Traverse survey is to find out each pikets actual bearing and actual distance from piket to piket using Total Station tool. The rule is we must not exceed the ralat yg dibenarkan and in a 1st class traverse. If we failed, we must redo it again and again and again. Thanks to god we just do it twice in 2 days.

The next day - Tachymetri and Land Survey day !

We did Tachymetri survey and Land survey serentak. I and Panjang redid the unfinished Traverse survey and the Tachymetri, while the girls and Syaheed did Land survey task. After they finished the Land surveying, they help us on Tachymetri. Tachymetri survey, the only task with many many many many works!! The sunny sunshine sun in afternoon, and rainy raindy rain in evening everyday, made us hard to finished the task early. Then, it took 3 days to finished the Tachymetri survey.

While in Tachymetry survey, hurm, part nih kene cakap bahase melayu! time buat tachymetri nih, lecturer kitorang, En Najib ajar cara how to buat survey nih since dalam kelas, and kat sane jugak die ajar cara yang same jugak. Kitorang pon ikot lah cara tuh! Pastu, dah hampir siap buat survey tuh, En Ikhwan tgk data kitorang, die kate salah kitorang buat!! huh. WTH la kan.. die pon cakap lah asal salah pastu kene buat balek. kitorang pon hurmm dengar je lah. Pastu tunjuk data tu kat En Najib, die kate betol lah kitorang buat.. haaaa.. pening da!! Sorang kate betol sorang kate salah!

En Najib ajar gune rumus, die x ajar gune alat utk dapatkan nilai V tuh. En Ikhwan pulak kate rumus tu utk bla bla bla bla bla sbb tu salah.. Last2 En Ikhwan ajar kitorang gune alat utk dapatkan nilai V tuh... and pastu nak buktikan nilai V gune alat dan gune rumus berbeza... U know what, rupe2nye gune rumus ke, gune alat tu ke, same je nilai V tuh!!! erghh.. buat pening jek!!!!

After Tachymetry survey, we drew a Traverse Control plan based on the datas we got.

Yang ni pon ade banyak gile cara! Cara En Ikhwan dan cara En Najib. since cara En Ikhwan easier, kitorang ikot cara En Ikhwan la.

After drew the Traverse Control plan, we must proposed a place for building 8m x 10m in the Traverse Control area using calculation. After that, as a final task, we must tanam piket again based on calculation we calculated.

Yups! yang ni pon ade pelbagai cara!!!! cara En Najib dan cara Prof.! kitorang da siap kira dan tanam pike cara En Najib, seblom kitorang lukis pelan tapak bangunan dalam pelan Traverse Control tuh..! and we were the 1st team siap untuk kerja kat site! Kitorang happy la kan! sbb tinggal 1 hari tuh blh la kitorang rilex xyah turun padang lagi.. En Najib pon kate bagus..

Tapi, tibe2 Prof ajar care lain pulak, kitorang kene lukis dulu plan bangunan dalam Traverse Control then tanam piket tuh pulak. Cara kira2 die pon lain dengan cara En Najib. Die pon ajar group kitorang cara buat plan ngan kire2 dr start sampai siap.. hurm.. pastuh.. final day tu jugak kitorang kene turun padang tanam piket sume. Argh!! WTH!!! kitorang xde la cakap kt En Najib yang Prof ajar kire cara lain. Malas nak timbulkan kontroversi!!!

And one more thing, En Najib kata lukis bentuk bangunan SEGI EMPAT jerk.. tapi En Ikhwan soh lukis bangunan selain dari segi empat, contoh yang die cakap bentuk L... Die kate segi 4 tuh mcm nak buat tandas and da lapuk da bentuk segi 4 tuh.. ni lagi 1 masalah! kitorang buat calculation gune bentuk bangunan segi empat... if tuka bentuk, kene buat balek la calculation!!!! then, saje je tanye En Najib yang bentuk bangunan tu kalo buat bentuk segi 4 ok x.. die kate mmg kene buat bentuk segi 4 pon.... heeee.. pening2!! kitorang follow kata En Najib since malas nak buat kire2 balek..

Last sekali, sume lecturer akan pergi site judging kami punya kerja dan presentation. Ada 1 group buat bentuk tapak bangunan bentuk L, En Najib kata, tak pernah orang buat bentuk L, mcm nak buat jamban jerk!!!

See??? sorang kate bentuk segi 4 bentuk jamban! sorang kate bentuk L mcm jamban!!!

Haih! susah btol kalo banyak mazhab yang kene dengar!!

Kesimpulan, kitorang pening dan stress nak ikot cara sape dr start camp sampai abes camp!!!!!!!! very menyusahkan and memeningkan!!!

In addition, kitorang terjon laut every evening. Bes!

And the result, sume orang da ITAM LEGAM!

Plus, sampai rumah baru terase penat!! haihzz..
